How and what to donate to our shops
You are welcome to donate goods directly to our shops during opening
hours, or you can place clothing, music, or books in one of our
donation banks.
Your local Oxfam shop can convert your gifts into cash
to fund our work in over 70 countries.

What we can sell
- Good quality, clean clothing and shoes (including vintage and retro items)
- Jewellery, bags and accessories
- Books
- Music (CDs, vinyl, DVDs, videos, musical instruments and sheet music)
- Homewares: china, kitchenware, ornaments, pictures, collectables
- Soft furnishings (if clean and in good condition): small rugs, linen, curtains, cushion covers...
- Toys and games
- Furniture
- Stamps, coins and other collectables
...and anything else you think will raise money for Oxfam. Be imaginative! We'll be delighted to receive your unusual or valuable donations and we will ensure that we maximise their value.
What we can't sell
- Anything broken, dirty, incomplete or unsafe
- Clothing and shoes that are not fit to be worn again
- Electrical goods that run off the mains (a few shops do accept these, so please check before donating)
- Medical equipment
- Single computers (but we would be happy to hear from your company if you would like to donate multiple units)
- White goods (cookers, washing machines etc)
- There are some other items that we cannot sell for safety or legal reasons. If in doubt, please ask your local Oxfam shop before donating.

Oxfam strives to purchase goods and services which are produced and delivered under conditions which do not involve abuse or exploitation, and which have the least negative impact on the environment.
