Programme learning
Much of Oxfam's reputation comes from our experience of working with partners and beneficiaries, and capturing and spreading the knowledge gained by having programmes in over 70 countries. In this section, we synthesise some of the lessons we have learned, to share them with development professionals, academics, and others who might be interested in the knowledge gained from our programmes. This is not intended to be comprehensive, but to give a representative selection of documents and resources that we feel are worth sharing.
The topics covered are:
Emergency manuals (advice and recommendations on water and sanitation, health promotion, food security and nutrition, protection, and other topics)
Programme Evaluations (how Oxfam monitors and evaluates its work, including audits, reviews, impact reporting, etc)
Gender equality (including links to articles in Oxfam's Gender & Development journal and our Gender Equality and Men - GEM - project)
Education (including our Beyond Access project and Programme Insights - education and gender)
HIV and AIDS (including lessons learned from mainstreaming this issue throughout our programme work)
Livelihoods (including Pastoralism and Land rights in Africa)
