HWTS Network

Household water treatment and safe storage (HWTS) interventions can lead to dramatic improvements in drinking water quality and reductions in diarrhoeal disease, especially for people who rely on water from polluted rivers, lakes, unsafe wells or piped water supplies. The HWTS network, established by WHO in collaboration with other partners, aims to accelerate health gains for those without reliable access to safe drinking water, and to support coordinated action, pages available in English, French and Spanish.
