You can support Oxfam by taking part in a huge range of sporting events including Trailwalker, Trailtrekker, the London Marathon and The Oxfam Walk. What is Trailwalker and Trailtrekker?

Trailwalker and Trailtrekker are100-kilometre treks for teams of four – over 30 hours in tough conditions. The Trailwalker route mainly follows the South Downs Way, finishing in Brighton. Trailtrekker follows a circular route along the Yorkshire Dales.

How do I apply for a Gold Bond place?

Oxfam has a limited number of places allocated by the London Marathon, which we pay for. We offer these places to supporters, with a view to raising as much money as possible for our work. We ask applicants to pay a deposit of £300 to cover the cost of the place. The minimum fundraising pledge is £2000.

How do I apply for a ballot place?

To enter the Ballot you need to:


  1. You can contact www.london-marathon.co.uk for details on entering the ballot.
  2. If you are successful let us know – we would love it if you ran for us!

Oxfam Walk
Where and when is the Oxfam Walk?

The next Oxfam Walk will happen in 2008. Visit our Oxfam Walk pages for updates.  Six different routes of different distances will be available, all taking in some of the most beautiful scenery in Cambridgeshire.

Who can enter the Oxfam Walk?

The Oxfam Walk has no upper or lower age limits, however walkers aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult (over 18).  Entries are split into three categories: families, individuals and those wishing to walk as a team and enter the team trophy category.

Where and when is the Sunset Walk?

The Sunset Walk took place on Sunday 14 September 2008. Around 500 people walked together, socialised and celebrated humankind. Thank you to everyone who took part, it was an amazing evening!
