Armenia

In Armenia, Oxfam's focus is on health care, livelihoods, disability rights, and helping people have a say in the decisions which affect their lives.
Towards a healthier state
Armenia's state health service has been severely under-funded since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Communities have been left without essential treatment, drugs and safe water.
How Oxfam is helping
We are providing health care to 70,000 people in rural areas. We also work with communities to help them run and finance their own primary health care schemes.

The health scheme has completely changed life in the village… even if it is snowing or raining, we know that help is always here.![]()
