  • Q35. Do I have to pay?
  • The deposit for all festivals in 2008 is £165. This has gone up from last year in line with the increased price for festival tickets.

  • Q36. Can I use the same deposit for more than one festival?
  • Yes, your deposit will automatically be carried over until you have worked the last festival you have applied for. If you apply to steward at one festival and campaign at another, you still only need to pay one deposit.

  • Q37. Can I make split payments, paying half in one month and half the next?
  • I'm afraid not. The system can only take one payment, of the correct amount.

  • Q38. Can I pay for my friends?
  • Yes, you can pay for your friends, but don't try and pay three deposits in one go. Each application should have a deposit of £165 linked with it.

  • Q39. When I make a payment, will the money leave my account immediately?
  • No. It can takes up to 3 days for the money to leave your account, so please make sure the funds are available.

  • Q40. When will I get my deposit back?
  • The deposit will be refunded directly back to the card that you pay it from, and we will aim to get all straightforward refunds back within a month of the last festival you have worked.

    If your account closes before you have been refunded, you will need to let us know, so we can sort out an alternative way to refund you.

    If for any reason the payment is rejected by your account, there will inevitably be a delay as we will need to contact you to request bank account details to allow us to refund you into your bank account by BACS.

  • Q41. What happens if I drop out before the festival?
  • As above, we will still aim to refund you within a month of your last festival. (Minus an admin fee - see drop out FAQs

  • Q42. What happens to my money?
  • Your money will be taken automatically by world pay and held in a holding account until you have completed your last shift. Within a month of confirming that you have worked all your shifts satisfactorily, we will attempt to refund you.

    Through this process, we will not be holding any bank or credit card details, this will all be held by world pay. All we will have is a transaction record stating that the money has been transferred to our holding account.
