Demand that Europe plays fair

The European Union is bullying poor countries to sign trade deals that could deepen poverty.
Help make these trade deals fair, before it's too late.
Fair deal or no deal
Current proposals for new trade deals with poor countries put the EU's own economic interests above those of millions of the world's poorest people.
The EU claims the new deals will allow all countries to trade equally with each other, but rich European countries have all the advantages of size, technology and a developed economy - poor countries simply can't compete.
2008 is the year when the deals either become permanent or get thrown out. Douglas Alexander, Secretary of State for International Development, must use all his influence within the EU to make sure the deals are right.
The livelihoods of millions of people are at stake.
