If so, you might be interested in an internship at Oxfam.

These are fixed voluntary placements, ranging in duration from a few months to a year, normally based around a single project. You can do an internship with most of the divisions within Oxfam, from fundraising to campaigning, or policy to human resources.

Although jobs at the end aren't guaranteed, it's a great way to really understand what makes Oxfam tick, as well as make yourself really employable.

If you fancy a longer stint, we also offer student placements, which normally last for a year.
